Paulo Goncalves remains in contention for victory
The Speedbrain duo of Paulo Goncalves and Quinn Cody ended the third day of the Sealine Cross Country Rally in Qatar in second and fifth place, respectively. Goncalves, who finished behind race leader Marc Coma, was able to consolidate his runner-up position in the overall classification. Cody scored a top five result for the first time in the race and has been further getting his arms around the navigation matters.Paulo Goncalves: "Yet another hard and long day in the Qatar desert. The course started once more in the dunes, while the middle part was fast and stoney. The second half pretty much led through the open desert, with some key navigation hurdles to overcome. I could catch the riders having started in front of me after the refuelling stop and only Coma was quicker today. I am excited how my Speedbrain 450 Rally bike keeps performing. Tomorrow are 237 kilometres left, a top result is what I´m going for."Quinn Cody: "I wanted to concentrate on the navigation today and make no mistakes. That´s what I did, after I´m now used to the bike and the speed in this rally. Too bad it´s over by tomorrow. This is a perfect race to test and to train."The team wishes Pal-Anders Ullevalseter, who crashed today, a speedy and full recovery.Result Stage 3:1. Coma-Camps (ESP, KTM) 4h40m35s2.
