Adamson’s Hat-trick of Wins

John Adamson was in action at Haddington over the weekend competing in the first round of the Melville Winter Motocross Series. Team AAA made the trip to the popular track near Edinburgh for the sixteen year old to pit his Bikesport KTM 250 against some of the best Scottish and English riders in the Adult “A” Class.

Adamson’s start in his first race wasn’t his best but he quickly moved through the field to close on the leader but then a mistake saw the youngster tumble off his bike. He remounted quickly and again closed on the leader when a back marker caused both riders to fall. John was up and away first and cruised round for the win. The next two races saw Adamson take the lead early on and despite falling off in each race he never lost the lead which gave him the trophy for first with his dominant display.

John’s dad and mechanic who prepares John’s bikes at his shop, AAA Motorcycles, said “John rode really well on Sunday and things just seem to be getting better and better with the new bike.” “For someone so young to achieve this against more experienced riders on larger bikes is quite something.”
